Purification Program - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of the Purification Program

 Question: “If you travel and are away from your blender what can you do to make your shakes?”

Here’s a tip for you…

  1. Measure out the correct amounts of each powder (SP Complete and if you are using it, Whole Food Fiber) into a single snack bag for ease of transport.
  2. Pick up a cold 16.9 or 20oz bottle of water (spring water if available) and drink half of it, leaving the remaining 8-10 ounces for your shake.
  3. When you are ready for your shake, pour the contents of the snack bag into the water bottle.  If you are worried about spilling, you can cut one corner of the bag, effectively creating a funnel.
  4. Shake vigorously and enjoy!

How Should I Feel Today?

Today will likely be a continuation of Day 2.  If you are feeling a bit awkward and not 100%, this is not uncommon.  Hang in there, as this should dissipate in a day or so.

If you have a coffee withdrawal headache, go back and look at our suggestion on Day 1 under “How should I be feeling today?”

Don’t be surprised if old symptoms you haven’t experienced in years begin to return during the program.  They should be of short duration and are considered a beneficial sign that your body is purging toxins and repairing underlying issues with your health.  Old injuries or conditions may resurface for anywhere from an hour to a day or more.

Weight Loss:

Your weight on the scale will vary a bit, but have no fear, this is completely normal.  Don’t stress over whether you can see a difference on the scale yet.  Remember to stick mostly with Cruciferous Vegetables and minimize your fruit intake.  Not sure what Cruciferous Vegetables are?  Check out this article on Wikipedia.org.

Tip:

Healthy Fats – Naturally saturated fats such as coconut oil, avocado, butter – all these products are best if raw and organic. Once you are done with the Purification Program, you can add organic nut butters such as almond or cashew and organic eggs to this list. These fats not only help you burn fat but help your appetite feel satisfied.  These fats are ESSENTIAL to health.

Reminders:

Remember, don’t cheat… hang in there!  Eating even a small amount of “unapproved food” can cause inflammation and slow down the results you will receive from this detoxification.  If you are getting too fatigued, make sure you are eating frequently and then try increasing the amount of SP Complete in your shakes.  Also, as always, drink plenty of water.  This will help clear toxins faster and avoid constipation.

Recipe of the Day- Garlic Chili Roasted Broccoli

Ingredients: 

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

6 cloves garlic, finely chopped

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 tablespoon grill seasoning blend or grill creations

1 large head of broccoli, cut into thin long spears

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Place olive oil, garlic, chili powder and grill seasoning in the bottom of a large bowl and add the broccoli spears.
  3. Coat broccoli evenly and place on a large nonstick baking sheet.
  4. Roast broccoli until ends are crisp and brown and stalks are just tender, approximately 15 minutes.

Supplement Regimen for Day 3

SP complete       3 scoops(3 tbsp) twice/day minimum up to 5 shakes/day

Whole food fiber  1 scoop(1 tbsp) 3 times/day (added to shake)

OR

GastroFiber         3 capsules 3 times/day

SP Cleanse         7 capsules 3 times/day

For cravings (optional): Gymnema   1 tablet 3 times/day or 2 tablets twice/day
