Stress ... can be fixed!

STRESS is an inevitable part of life. The key is to find ways to minimize its negative impact on your life and health, by coping effectively and letting go of as many stressful situations as possible. Stress that is not handled effectively can harm the nervous system, the cardiac system and the immune system, which can cause health issues to get worse or new health issues to occur.

    TRY TO INCORPORATE SOME OF THESE STRESS BUSTERS INTO YOUR LIFE

  • Get chiropractic care for a more balanced and powerful nervous system thatcan help us deal more effectively with the stress in our life.
  • Eat a whole food, mostly vegetable diet.  Avoid additives, chemicals,artificial anything, sugar, caffeine.
  • Drink lots of water.  Stress dehydrates us.
  • Get on a regular schedule with a massage therapist.
  • Take a hot bath at least one night a week.
  • Listen to soothing music.
  • Regular exercise releases stress and helps you cope better.
  • Laugh often!
  • Set realistic goals.  Break tasks and chores into increments.   Allow adequatetime to achieve each task one at a time.
  • It’s OK to say no.  Ex; “my heart says yes, but my calendar (or family) says no”.
  • Prepare for tomorrow the night before.  This starts your day off without stress
  • Take a day trip to a peaceful place such as the ocean, lake, park, mountains, etc.
  • Get 7-8 hours of sleep a night.
  • Engage in meditation, prayer or just focus on your breathing.  Very calming!
  • Spend time with nature. It nurtures, soothes and feeds the soul.
  • Be patient, loving and forgiving with yourself and others.
  • Participate in activities that are meaningful and give purpose to your life.
  • Surround yourself with people who love, accept and support you 110%.  Let go
  • of those who don’t.
